A game can be beautifully designed, technically stable, commercially promising and almost completely invisible. That’s one of the less romantic realities of independent development. We often talk about funding as though money is the final missing ingredient. Give a studio enough development time, help it finish the game, and the market will eventually recognise its brilliance. Unfortunately, the market isn’t a kindly wizard who appears when the final build reaches version 1.0.
