  1. I wonder if there is any security issues with user generated blockchain content. Though blockchain is fairly secure, it still gets hacked, especially on smaller networks. Granted, it’s only gaming as opposed to crypto, but it’s an interesting question nonetheless.

In your opinion, other than security, what do you think the biggest benefit to implementing all of the options you mention in the article via blockchain, as opposed to some other technology. I ask because for traditional utilizations of blockchain, I feel like the main benefits are security, privacy, and of course, decentralization. I’m looking at different utilizations, like gaming but also IoT, and trying to understand what the specific benefit point is that is attracting non-traditional segments to implement their vision through blockchain tech.     1. Great question – and you’re absolutely right that security, privacy, and decentralisation are the core pillars of blockchain’s value. But beyond those, I’d say the biggest non-security benefit – especially in sectors like gaming or IoT – is programmable ownership.

      In gaming, for example, blockchain allows for assets (like skins, characters, or even save data) to be verifiably owned and interoperable across ecosystems. That opens up new economic models (like player-driven markets or true asset portability) that simply aren’t feasible with traditional backend tech. You’re no longer just granting access to a database entry – you’re handing over real, transferable ownership.

      For IoT, it’s about autonomy and trustless coordination. Devices can register, authenticate, and transact with each other without relying on a central broker – which becomes important as networks scale. Imagine a smart grid or fleet of drones managing resources based on encoded rules rather than cloud-based approvals.

      So to sum it up: blockchain isn’t just secure – it’s composable. It unlocks systems that are self-governing, player-/user-owned, and capable of evolving without central bottlenecks. That’s what’s drawing interest from non-traditional segments right now.
