In Red Dead Redemption 2, the left trigger isn’t just “aim.” It’s a contextual focus verb. When you hold it, you’re not entering a special interaction mode. You’re asking the world a single, consistent question: what can I meaningfully do with this thing? NPCs, animals, shop items, shelves, weapons, props - everything responds through the same interaction grammar. That’s the trick. The system doesn’t care what you’re targeting.
